I'm a biochemist working to answer fundamental questions about plant metabolism so we can engineer better crops for the future.
Previously I worked with the Gain4Crops consortium to help design and implement alternatives to photorespiration to increase photosynthetic efficiency in sunflowers. I'm currently working on the Cassava Source Sink project (CASS) building computational models of cassava metabolism to help guide successful metabolic engineering efforts.
