I am a DPhil student in Biology studying the (meta)genomics of Campylobacter in LMICs, trying to characterize and understand the variation among sources to attribute genomic characteristics like multi-infectious sites via gene location, AMR genes, and VR genes.

Before joining the University of Oxford in Samuel Sheppard’s laboratory, I was a part of Dr. Kerry Cooper’s laboratory, studying bacterial shifts and diversity on the surfaces of melons. I studied Microbiology and Food Safety at the University of Arizona and am passionate about microbial communities in connection to social and environmental causes.

With my studies, I hope to contribute an understanding for the general public and how to navigate around bacterial pathogens that disrupt daily living. Ultimately, bringing science and the community together.
