My research interests focus on understanding mycobacteria and their impact on health and the environment. I recently joined Dr. Rachel Tanner’s group from Cape Town, South Africa, where I worked on anti-tuberculous drug development and developed a strong interest in these resilient bacteria. Now, I’m part of a project investigating how environmental changes influence non-tuberculous mycobacteria, studying how these shifts shape their survival and behavior.
At the Tanner Lab, we take a One Health approach to TB prevention, working on strategies to protect humans, cattle, and badgers. I’m excited to bring what I’ve learned so far to the table and to grow through the new challenges this project offers.
