My current research focuses on elephant seismic communication in Kenya, using machine learning techniques to identify elephant rumbles emitted through ground vibrations. This work aims to map these rumbles over time to answer questions on the spatial dynamics and propagation of elephant communication and movement.
I am broadly interested in how animals move and interact with their environment to solve problems. My research topics include navigation, communication, biomechanics and collective behaviour.
I am always open to new projects and collaborations so please get in contact if you'd like to discuss an idea or project.
