I am a protein biochemist within the Plant Chemetics Laboratory investigating the antagonistic arms races between AI-predicted inhibitors secreted by tomato pathogens and the apoplastic P69 immune proteases of tomato. I completed my PhD in 2024 at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where I investigated the molecular mechanisms of cysteine proteases involved in regulated cell death in the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.
