I am a mathematical modeller specialising in health and policy, with a particular focus on antimicrobial resistance, global health research, and capacity development. With decades of experience, I collaborate with national control programs, international decision-makers, and funders to address global health challenges, particularly in malaria and other infectious diseases. My experiences in Africa and Asia have deeply shaped my commitment to equitable global health research. As the director of a global modelling consortium, I have contributed to COVID-19 pandemic strategies across five continents. My work involves extensive collaboration with stakeholders such as the WHO, the Global Fund, ECDC, UKHSA, and FCDO. I have also served as an editor for peer-reviewed journals and as an advisory board member for major initiatives, including the Malaria Atlas Project, the Australian Centre for Research Excellence in Malaria Elimination, and several equity, diversity, and inclusion groups at Oxford University.
As the founder and director of Model Health, a consulting firm, I focus on developing long-term public health solutions by anticipating future demands and pioneering innovative analytical approaches that often set industry precedents. I have also advised on health technologies for organisations such as FIND, Janssen, and GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals.
